“OPEN FIVE” WINS THE 13TH MEMPHIS FILM FESTIVAL

Congrats to Filmmaker 25 New Face Kentucker Audley for winning Best Narrative Feature at the Memphis Film Festival with his latest, Open Five. As I blogged last week, Audley has made the entire feature available for a limited time on his site (or, embedded below). Also winning awards were films by three other “25 New Face” filmmakers — The Colonel’s Wife (Brent Stewart), Mars (Geoff Marslett), and Blackmail Boys (under a pseudonym, Morgan Jon Fox). Best Narrative Feature: Open Five

Nice Shoes Award: Audrey the Trainwreck

The Nice Shoes award is presented to the director of one of the competition features to help them take their next production to a new level. A $25,000 value, the award includes 8 hours of color grading and 8 hours of finishing services at Nice Shoes, an artist-driven design, animation, VFX and color grading studio in New York City. The award includes a round trip flight to New York, to allow the award-winner to take advantage of their prize, no matter where they are based.
