Slated, a site that provides a range of tools and services for filmmakers and the film industry such as Festival Genius, is currently building an online film finance marketplace and is looking for industry professionals to be involved with the beta launch of Slated Marketplace. Marketplace hopes to be a hub where filmmakers can pitch work to accredited investors and financiers while producers and others in the industry will get the inside track on new film properties. The IFP and Slated have complied 26 titles from 50 U.S. and Canadian film festivals that will vie for the award, which will be announced during the Gotham Awards on November 29. by Jason Guerrasio on Nov 2, 2010In a release sent out moments ago, the IFP has announced that B-Side, the recently shuttered Austin-based technology and distribution company that provided Web site services to film festivals, will be handing over it’s “Festival Genius” technology to IFP. Slated, a company that provides film and market research services to producers and distributors, has acquired B-Side’s intellectual property and will be licensing the service to IFP.
