Five Highlights from the 2023 New Directors/New Films Festival
New Directors/New Films, the annual showcase of work by emerging directors co-presented by the Museum of Modern Art and Film at Lincoln Center, began this week in New York City and runs through April 9. The 2023 slate features 27 features and 11 shorts, most of them culled from top-tier festivals such as Berlin, Cannes, Locarno, and Rotterdam. Sundance Institute Announces Six Trans Possibilities Intensive Fellows
The Sundance Institute announces today six fellows selected for the second edition of the Trans Possibilities Intensive. Hosted by the Intensive’s founder Moi Santos, the three-part event will take place from March 27-29 and feature mentorship from four creative advisors and Sundance’s Equity, Impact, and Belonging Program. The six fellows for 2023 are Seyi Adebanjo, Rajvi Desai, Malik Ever, Nick Janaye, Jamie John and Tee Park Jaehyung. Even/Odd Partners with the Kiarostami Foundation on an Ongoing Product Collection
Creative studio and production company Even/Odd has partnered with the Kiarostami Foundation on a special product collection that celebrates the legendary Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami. The collection currently features three items: a 40-page graphic novel and activity book that reimagines Kairostami’s 1987 film Where Is the Friend’s House?, a small-batch mulberry jam inspired by his 1997 film Taste of Cherry and reprints of original posters designed by the filmmaker for Friend’s House, Certified Copy (2010) and A Wedding Suit (1976). SFFILM Announces Full Lineup for the 66th San Francisco International Film Festival

Applications Are Now Open for The 2023 Gotham Week Project Market
Applications are now live for The Gotham Film & Media Institute’s (formerly IFP, and Filmmaker‘s publisher) annual Gotham Week Project Market.
