IFP Announces Documentary Projects for Annual IFP Labs
The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), Filmmaker‘s parent organization, announced today the ten documentaries selected for the 2016 IFP Filmmaker Labs, IFP’s annual yearlong fellowship for first-time feature directors. The creative teams of the selected films are currently attending the first week’s sessions – The Time Warner Foundation Completion Labs – taking place May 11-15 in New York City. VR AXS Map Wins the Made in New York Media Center by IFP Demo Day
VR AXS Map, a platform using VR to help the disabled pre-visit and share information about accessible public spaces, was named the winner on Wednesday night of the Made In New York Media Center by IFP’s Demo Day. The Changing Face of Documentary Distribution: The 17th Annual Hot Docs Forum
The 17th annual Hot Docs Forum kicked off Tuesday in Toronto with all the pomp and ceremony of a high school model UN tournament. Axel Arno, SVT commissioning editor and one of three forum moderators, laid out the rules: each team will have seven minutes to pitch, followed by another seven minutes of question-and-answer discussion; the bell will ring once at the six-minute mark and twice at the seven-minute mark. Sundance Announces Eight First-Time Directors for its June Directors Lab
The Sundance Institute announced today the eight first-time feature directors selected to participate in its June Directors Lab.
